Like Mega Man 2, Quick Man moves around the area at high speed while jumping and using Quick Boomerang. Quick Man is one of the six bosses from the "Recover the new parts!" course. This Doc Robot is weak against Gemini Laser and Search Snake, unlike the original Quick Man boss room, Doc Robot's boss room is completely flat rather than having an elevated floor with a small gap in the middle of the room. In Mega Man 3, the second Doc Robot from Spark Man's stage copies Quick Man's moves, and before the battle, Quick Man has a cameo appearance as program data copied by Doc Robot. Fortunately, he is also weak to Crash Bomber and slightly so to the Mega Buster. As such, he must be worn down before or after using it (preferably before, so as to avoid wasting Time Stopper ammo).

Quick Man is weak to Time Stopper in that using it will stop him and drain his health, although only up to half, even with full ammo. The shot boomerangs aim towards Mega Man when they return. In battle, Quick Man will jump three times (though due to a glitch, his first jump is sometimes omitted), shooting a trio of Quick Boomerangs from his arm when at the peak of his second jump, and then run at full speed trying to tackle Mega Man, before repeating this pattern. Due to the similar emphasis on speed in their designs, Quick Man is shown to have a friendly rivalry with Turbo Man. He is an early riser, tends to get bored very quickly by slowness, and is shown to be a huge fan of motor racing, both as a spectator and a competitor. Whilst he is an accomplished decision-maker, he is also impulsive, possessing a tendency to act on a whim. Quick Man is a cunning Robot Master who is confident in his abilities, and particularly proud of his speed. In Super Adventure Rockman and other media, he is shown to be also able to wield a larger boomerang like a sword. His Special Weapon is the Quick Boomerang, small razor-edged boomerangs that he can rapidly fire from the launcher on his right arm. Although his top running speed is unknown, Quick Man is one of the fastest Robot Masters in the Mega Man series. In addition to this, a flaw from within his device also makes him vulnerable to Flash Man's Time Stopper which can easily stop him in his tracks and slowly drain his health. His body is made of lightweight materials, allowing him to move at very high speeds, but this can easily cause him to be blown away by weapons like Air Man's Air Shooter.
